PROTECTION OF DISC BRAKES AND INCREASE OF MAXIMUM LOAD
In response to customer needs and market demand, Alcoa Wheel Products has developed a wheel for off-road industrial vehicles with disc brakes. This new wheel has been designed without ventilation holes to protect the mass of disc brakes from sand and gravel. In the meantime the WorkHorse® wheel has also been used for other applications, including normal semi-trailers. This new design gives Alcoa customers real added value with reduced maintenance costs, longer brake life and improved performance.
Their sturdier design has also made it possible to extend the life span of these wheels. The mounting characteristics of the WorkHorse® wheels are the same as standard wheels. WorkHorse® wheels are available with a brushed finish.
